About The First East Invite!

On April 16 and 17, 2005 the Colorado high school ultimate community gathered for the first East Invite. Thirteen Colorado high school teams - East, Colorado Academy, Grandview, Creek, Lakewood, Jeffco, Broomfield, Monarch, Fairview, North, DU High, Arvada West, Silver Creek - were there. (Colorado scores and rankings)

The competition was great, the prizes sick, comraderie was cool. Saturday evening's game between National Champ Mamabird and Johnny Bravo was breathtaking.

Cherry Creek won the tournament with a great comeback on Sunday.

Invite Prizes? Sick.

VC -- an Ultimate apparel company -- donated 25 "East Invitational Champions" jerseys for the winning team and distance competition winners. They're sweet-looking! (Check out what the winning team - Cherry Creek - looks like wearing them.)

Saturday evening, the East Invite presented a game between the National Collegiate Open Champion CU Mamabird and Johnny Bravo, one of the top club teams in the country. The game was fast, competitive, and exciting.

It's safe to say that this was the best game most of the spectators had ever seen.
